For someone wishing to take on an office administration job, s/he should be ready to take on a gamut of responsibilities. From conducting clerical duties that could involve filing, answering phone calls, replying to emails as well as making reports and preparing documents, the candidate applying for the role of an office administrator will need to do it all. The aspirant will also be called upon to coordinate various deliverables for different projects that are either ongoing or about to be undertaken. Performing accounting tasks, including budgeting as well as invoicing also falls under the purview of an office administrator. From scheduling meetings to making travel arrangements for senior members of the organization to offering administrative support to the different departments of the organization, an office administration job entails it all. A bachelor's degree would be preferred along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should have the ability to multitask and also prioritize projects. With the willingness to be customer-service oriented, the candidate should be proactive enough to take on jobs without too much supervision.
