Position Overview

CIB-Operations is dedicated to supporting our business in their goal to build long-term, sustainable relationships with the Bank's key institutional clients, while delivering strong returns to stakeholders.
Our vision is to Transform CIB-Operations by delivering a platform that provides competitive operating leverage and protects the Bank and its clients.
The CIB-Operations teams are recognized as key to business profitability, playing a crucial role in managing clients, risk and minimizing losses. This is done by ensuring that business activities are carried out in an efficient, controlled and timely manner.
The role of CIB-Operations covers a wide range of activities. Following the buying and selling of financial products and services by the bank, we ensure that each transaction is captured accurately and in a timely manner to ensure effective risk management, cleared, documented and confirmed, settled and reconciled, all within a tightly controlled environment in adherence with global regulatory requirements. We are split into 4 main sub-divisions:
Debt Trading and Emerging Markets
Global Equities and Network Management
Markets Clearing & Collateral Management (MCCM)
Regulatory and Control Cross Product Operations (RCP)
You will operational expertise and independent governance to achieve timely, accurate and complete transaction management for the bank and, where relevant, the bank's clients.
Your key responsibilities
  • Ensuretimely booking of trades within all requisite systems within the GEBS architecture
  • Apply problem solving and investigative techniques to trade booking / flow issues
  • Update of trade amendments within pre-requisite systems where required; Apply root cause investigation to repetitive issues or problems
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with stakeholder groups, onshore and offshore
  • Identify risk and possibleescalation of any trade or booking issuesand endorse toyourteam manager.

Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Finance course or its equivalent
  • Experience in stakeholders management from the Financial Services, Investment Banking or Commercial Banking industry
  • Analytical and problem solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to cater to demanding stakeholders
  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
