The Role
As the Head of Tele-collection, you will manage the Front-End collection unit to achieve the delinquency and net credit loss within the plan with the allocated collector headcount.
How you'll contribute
  • Formulate collection strategic plans and budget (Delinquency Rate, Net Loss, OPEX, manpower, etc.)
  • Ensure tele-collection performance of the team is aligned with business strategies and company direction.
  • Manage the team performance (productivity and effectiveness) and actions in line with the collection strategy, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor performance and trends
  • Plan for appropriate headcount and capacity at all times
  • Establish, revise and update collection policies, procedures, and service level agreements in line with business objectives, regulations, and laws
  • Motivate, supervise and coach supervisors on tasks and management skills
  • Share and advise on problem-solving solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance
  • Host regular team meetings with supervisors
  • Host regular performance feedback meetings with supervisors
  • Meet with Line Manager to brainstorm and find the ways to improve performance
  • Ensure the team understands the company strategic direction and goals
  • Work with other units in the Company to resolve operational issues affecting collections
  • Establish strategy, tools, and processes to support the team in achieving performance targets

What we're looking for
  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any related field
  • Should have at least 5 years relevant experience in the banking, credit card companies, leasing/financing Institutions
  • Strong background in advanced collection method
  • Relevant work experience not only as a tele-collector, but also managing a team of tele-collectors
  • Experience collecting consumer loans (e.g. credit card, personal loan, motorcycle loan, and/or auto loan)
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
  • Proficiency in Collection transactions and reports, such as flow, past due, and recovery rates
  • Good people management skills
