Job Description Summary:
Job Description:
Responsible for the setup, conversion, calibration, repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance of automated test handlers used for Final Test, Wafer sort, and Tape and Reel manufacturing processes. These include automated test handlers sub-assemblies and related components or parts.
  • Graduate of 2 or 3 years technical or vocational course preferably related to Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical.
  • Must have at least 4 - 5 years of work experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry.
  • Have excellent mechanical and electronics knowledge.
  • Can repair at least 5 equipment models and repair moderate handler problems (clear difficult jams, run diagnostics, perform calibration and preventive maintenance)
  • Replace defective parts, troubleshoot to board level.
  • Perform most mechanical and optical alignments and adjustments.
  • Perform all setups and conversions.
  • Can act in the absence of Technician OIC.
  • Performs handler setup and kit conversion activities including but not limited to setting up the temperature, lead count, setup file per package, and installing LN2 tank as required on the lot to be tested.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs handler jams and errors.
  • Inspects, cleans, and aligns the contact and plunger assemblies as part of contact verification related to the low yield setup.
  • Conducts search for missing units in the handler.
  • Perform handler PM and Calibration.
  • Performs regular maintenance activities as required by TPM.
  • Involve as a team member in two handler improvement projects per year.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by Superiors from time to time.
  • Ensure that the company's commitment to environmental management, health, and safety is observed and performed.
  • Be aware of the company's quality and environmental policies.

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to US Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or US Treasury Regulations. If required, placement is contingent on Maxim's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
