Job Description

The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, identifying issues and proposing solutions with regards to the following aspects of the category team’s operations:

o New SKU Monitoring
o Replacement Order Monitoring
o New SKU Returns Monitoring
o Low Performing SKUs Monitoring
o Clearance Overstock Review
o Category Performance Analysis and Monitoring
o Others (Ad Hoc, Daily Accomplishment, etc.)
Leads, initiates, and recommends projects and process improvements. Creates and maintains detailed trackers and automated reports.

Monitor New SKU and Replacement Order:

• Ensure that SKUs in the PL2 Delivery Schedule are launched and live in our site by estimated arrival to warehouse.
• Check and make sure that PL2 SKUs match their corresponding reference SKUs and ensures accuracy of the specifications.
• Help prevent or reduce returns by ensuring all data aspects accurately represent the PL2 SKUs.
Monitor New SKU Returns:

• Monitor the returns vs. sales information of SKUs we decided to carry despite the identified product discrepancies.

Monitor Low Performing SKU:

• Help in Low Performing SKU Analysis (i.e. file preparation, distribution, process merchandising logic/pricing comparison for eCommerce and eBay, image review and data consolidation for Manager’s review).
Review Clearance Overstock:
• Conduct research to identify the cause of overstock.
• Provide recommendation.

Monitor Category Performance Analysis:

• Monitor Pre and Post Analysis report of Low Performing SKUs and Part Name Refresh projects on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Monitor Category’s performance based on Revenues, Returns, No-fills, Units sold and Demands on a monthly and quarterly basis (or as needed).
• Provide other reports needed for business reviews.
• Perform ad hoc projects, other business analytics-related tasks and provide assistance to other team members whenever there is no available file/task to process.
• Submit daily accomplishment report to immediate superior or Manager.


• Bachelor’s Degree of any 4-year Business or Computer related course
• Excellent reporting, researching and analytical skills
• Detail and result-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel
• With good communication skills
• Background in automotive is a plus
• Driven and can work with minimal supervision
• Flexible, a great team player and can handle multiple and varying tasks
