Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs program design, development, benchmark and unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
2. Able to work independently and just consults the lead or manager from time to time.
3. Effectively collaborates across teams and can lead those interactions inside and outside the department.
4. May be asked to lead small to medium-complexity projects, when business needs require for it.
5. Ensures that software development conventions and software development life cycle practices are followed, including industry-best practices.
6. Support production systems, analyze and solve problems, and configure systems within the computing environment. 7. Able to do design work for complex projects. May conduct reviews for design and implementation done by other peers.
8. Can be a go-to person for certain processes, product areas or functional-specific domains.
9. Provides management with task breakdown, effort estimates and dependencies for areas assigned in projects. Provides reliable long-term planning deliverables.
10. Provides work direction, mentors and guides other developers in the team.
11. Demonstrates ability to solve complex problems.
12. Has a good understanding of the business space and complex business flows.
13. Provide management with status reports regularly and escalate risks timely so that the project schedule can be properly maintained.
14. Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner while observing service-level parameters
15. Introduces new approaches and innovation in software design and implementation.
16. Excellent communication skills to gain credibility within business leaders and IT teams.
17. Strong team player who contributes to success of the team, and in turn, to the department and company.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or 6+ years working experience.
2. 6+ years’ experience with two or more years in an enterprise application development and support environment
3. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
4. In depth understanding of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle
5. In depth understanding of the concept of relational database design and database programming.
6. Customer Service Oriented
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability to organize priorities in workload and manage time

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:
Must Have
1. In depth understanding of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle
2. In depth understanding of relational database concepts and programming
3. Proven ability to implement a software solution from inception to production
4. 6+ years’ experience Microsoft .NET Framework and C#, ASP.NET
5. 6+ years’ experience on Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2008 and up), TSQL, SSIS 6. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Should have
1. Experience with Service oriented architectures, web Services
2. Experience with Scrum and/or Agile
Nice to have
1. Experience in healthcare setting (provider/payer environment)
2. Experience with workflow tools/business process management suites
3. Experience with VS Team System
4. Experience with WCF, Entity Framework
5. Experience with unit testing tools/frameworks
