The Avaloq Banking System is a large PL/SQL system used worldwide. We are an Avaloq partner and joining us as a developer will help you develop further your core banking skills and Oracle skills. You will be creating and modifying source code of one of the most advanced banking systems in the world, enhancing the Avaloq Banking System to meet the needs of banks using Avaloq across the world. As part of project teams you will amend or create software to implement market specific functionality, analyse and resolve software defects, and improve source code in components you work. We are supporting banks across the European, Asian and Australian markets.
Certification and Qualifications:
• For ACP we have projects waiting for you now
• For non-ACP, we will put you through the comprehensive Avaloq Training Course over three months so you too can become an Certified Avaloq Professional and be deployed to projects
• You should have at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• Minimum of one to four years’ experience specializing in IT/Computer Software or equivalent.
Job Duties:
• Participate in project teams for system developments and contribute to accomplishing the related results as needed
• Create source code changes to correct and enhance the Avaloq Banking System with PL/SQL and Avaloq Script using Oracle
• Analyze requirements and the system and suggest implementation designs and solution approaches
• Explore and integrate new kernel functionality
• Test and document source alterations
• Parameterize new features and existing processes based on client requests
• Manage work effort to maintain on time, on cost and on quality result
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Support implementations of changes at the client side if required
• Interact with client staff and represent the organization in Avaloq project at client side if required
• Improve code in components you work on
Skills:
The following skills are desirable:
• PL/SQL, Oracle
• At least 3 years working experience in the related fields of:
o Banking – retail, core, wealth management
o Finance
o Payment systems
• Ability to design and implement features within IT projects
• Banking know-how (and not just how to open an account at the local branch)
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
