Thomson Reuters is looking for a highly skilled individual who combines solid technical Skills with a high degree of business insight for the position of Senior Engineer PKI within our Identity and Access Management team. The IAM team at TR is completely transforming the entire identity landscape as a cornerstone of our security posture.
In this role, you will administrator a secure and scalable PKI service capability. You will be responsible for administering PKI processes, in collaboration with technology peers and business partners, to enhance the certificate posture of Thomson Reuter. You will focus on the administration and continuous operation improvement.
About the role:
  • Drive the PKI reporting and continuous monitoring of the certificate posture.
  • Work with security tool teams to automate scanning, reporting, and alerts.
  • Manage the operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various Identity and Access Management services locally and in the 'cloud' including PKI and Certificate Validation Services (CRL, OCSP, SCVP), LDAP, Database, Two-factor authentication, and privileged identities for Federal and Commercial clients with primary focus on government, financial, and healthcare markets.
  • Assist in the test, implement changes/additions to the PKI infrastructures.
  • Partner with Governance and Risk Management teams to enforce compliance.
  • Develop processes to report and mitigate non-compliant applications.
  • Analyze PKI solutions for efficiency and recommend enhancements to the program.
  • Experience in working with X.509 PKI
  • Experience with PKI-based products, including Web servers and certification authorities
  • Experience with Common PKI-based protocols, including SSL and TLS, HTTP, or LDAP
  • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Linux, and Web-based systems.
  • Experience with Vulnerability mitigation and patch management.
  • Examine IAM / PKI technology industry and market trends, assess the impact of emerging security threats on the enterprise risk level, recommends technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate in the business plans
  • Consult with other members of project team, client, and end users to identify PKI requirements and develop requirements documentation
  • Ability to comprehend and apply system security engineering principles and communicate with the team quickly, effectively, and proficiently
  • Experience in configuring servers and applications to work with PKI
  • Experience with systems engineering and integration
  • Experience with PKI products and technologies preferred
  • Partner with application teams to understand security and business implications of PKI strategy.

About You:
  • 6+ years experience with PKI design, implementation, administration, and provisioning.
  • Proven track record of PKI experience in a large global enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of X.509, RSA, SSL/TLS, and certificate management processes.
  • Familiarity with certificate enrollment and renewal protocols.
  • Strong Understanding of certificate authorities, registration authorities, and certificate policies.
  • Strong understanding of certificate lifecycle challenges and the understanding of how to mitigate.
  • Strong understanding S/MIME, Wild Cards, SAN certificates.
  • Strong understanding of hashing standards like SHA-1/SHA-2.
