A Senior DevSecOps Architect is responsible for leading the technical implementation, maintenance, and governance of automation practices to improve collaboration and productivity of software development teams. This includes providing a robust CI/CD pipelines, allowing code to be validated for quality and security as well as deployed in a continuous fashion. A seasoned mentor who coaches team at lower levels and manages portions of development activities and governance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
  • Support multiple agile teams across various platforms, environments, and instances
  • Creates and reviews technical design specifications developed within IT
  • Provide individual engineers with technical leadership and help group members develop new skills
  • Perform technology watch related to industry trends, best practices, and competition.
  • Increase time-to-market delivery on systems with a focus on performance, security, observability, availability, and scalability
  • Partner with app delivery teams to design and execute non-PROD activities such as; test data management (TDM), testing (automation & manual), exceptions to standard process, etc.
  • Work closely with architects to assure all systems are in line with the Enterprise Architecture long-term strategy
  • Produce and maintain documentation on installations, incidents, and procedures requirements
  • Set up metrics to track and report efficiencies attained via the continuous delivery and automation framework
Qualification and Educational Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of IT development, testing & operations
  • Broad knowledge in hardware, software, distributed applications environments, and solid understanding of their associated capacity and performance indicators
  • Knowledge of distributed database, distributed computing and high frequency transactions is a plus
  • Hands on experience in Java, React, Node.js, Express, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling similar to GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
  • Cloud based development experience with platforms such as (but not limited to) Cloud Foundry or Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
  • Experience with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo and Confluence)
  • Experience with deployment patterns which reduce deployment risk, such as Canary and Blue-Green.
