Cloudstaff is looking for a motivated Senior DevOps Manager. You will constantly be putting customers at the center of your work. You will have worked alongside developers, designers, and customers to create fantastic online experiences.

A Senior DevOps Manager runs a team, and successfully managed large infrastructure. In charge of mentoring and the growth of the team members. Someone who loves to write code used in operations and loves working with infrastructure management including automation and developing supporting applications. Great in facing tough problems that come with working with a rapidly growing big data site doing operations 24 / 7 / 365 in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities are
  • Design, implement and maintain systems that are highly available and scalable on Cloud platforms
  • Install and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data and perform script maintenance and updates
  • Building, deploying, and decommissioning servers, from quick test beds to mission-critical clusters
  • Development of automation, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions for new projects and functionality working closely with the product development teams
  • implementation and management of continuous delivery systems and methodologies on cloud platforms
  • Consulting with the leadership team on the operational requirements of software solutions.
  • Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
  • Overseeing routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Create requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance.
  • Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.
  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Provide strong mentorship and direction to junior and mid-DevOps team members.
  • Providing guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits.
  • Administrate infrastructure, including security policies for users, security groups, databases, OS patching, and password/identity management
  • Manages Domains/DNS, SSL Cert internally and externally (Route53, DynDNS, GoDaddy)
  • Deploy new modules and upgrades and complete fixes within the production environment
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting existing information systems for errors and resolving those errors.
  • Debugging runtime issues and solving complex problems under the radar or in the heat of fatal system incidents
  • Monitor and maintain our SaaS production systems, including being on duty.

Qualifications And Requirements

Ideally, you will have a Relevant Tertiary degree, certification, or qualification, but previous work experience and demonstrated capability can be substituted.

Knowledge & Skills Required
  • 5+ years of working experience in a similar role.
  • AWS cloud platform, EC2, S3, VPC, ELB, RDS, SES
  • Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker
  • Azure App Services, DevOps, Reserved instances
  • MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL
  • Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Github, GitLab
  • CloudFront, Route53, BeanTalk, CloudFormation
  • PCI application security standards
  • Infrastructure automation technologies as Cloudformation, Terraform, App services Azure DevOps, CI/CD, etc.
  • A background in UNIX, Windows, and love of replacing the command line with automation
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working in distributed and global teams
  • You keep a cool head and work on the problem!
