Department Overview

Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) is one of the nation's leading providers of financial and investment services in the United States. We offer a full range of products and services to meet clients unique needs and help them achieve financial goals. Services include Brokerage, Comprehensive planning and advice, Estate planning strategies, Investment management and Private banking.
The process includes: receives, reviews, approve or reject service requests in Smart Station. The documents, forms and service requests are subject to good order review to ensure compliance with the existing internal policies, federal laws and regulations. The requests that are in good orders and approved are processed accordingly via automation or manual processing. The items rejected are sent back to the requestor for further clarification or for submission of additional or required documents.
When transaction is approved, the request goes through straight through processing (STP) or secondary approval (within field services control or another group such as credit margin) for their review. When transaction is rejected, on-hold, or requested clarification, the team will communicate with the front office team the reason for such and/or ask for additional requirement to fulfill the requests when applicable. The team makes calls, emails and electronic messages to branches and Wells Fargo advisors on queries related to their service requests status and client activity specifically related to asset movements.
About the Role

Internally known as Securities Ops Service Specialist 2. SOSS 2 performs a variety of operational tasks for moderately complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require general knowledge of unit functions and systems.
  • Differentiating, processing and reconciling transactions researching inquires resolving customer complaints reviewing time sensitive and/or less complex to moderately complex documents
  • Revising departmental procedures
  • Coordinates situations that involve other departments
  • Has moderate customer contact works under moderate to minimal supervision

Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
  • Completed 2 years of tertiary education
  • 3 years of working experience (voice and back office support) in the BPO/Contact Center industry
  • Amenable to work night shift
  • Preferred background in securities operations (e.g trade processing, trade booking, brokerage services, derivatives, fixed income, etc. If with FINRA License as preferred but not required and maybe sponsored
