Job Description
Working for the Navitaire Software Development organization, you will work with a team of technical and business experts to deliver high value products to our clients using the a combination of delivery methodologies & tools.
In this Role, you'll:
- Work with Product Owner in prioritizing product backlog items based on their business value.
- Collaborate with Scrum development team in identifying projected velocity.
- Forecast project duration and identify potential release milestones; Re-plan frequently as actual velocity is identified and backlog is re-prioritized.
- Track and manage project controls (risks, impediments and dependencies)
- Communicate project statuses with identified stakeholders
- Generate, analyze and report on project metrics
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Help schedule and facilitate sprint events (backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective meetings).
- Coordinate information and efforts among various groups such as product management, development, QA, deployment, and production teams
- Contribute to the overall improvement of Scrum Master/Project management practices in the organization
- At least 5 total years experience in software development project management and Scrum Master role.
- 3 years experience with commercial software release development methodologies, including waterfall and agile development.
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 3-5 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel
- Balanced business/technical background
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
- Experience in facilitating all Scrum Sprint events.
- Knowledge on Microsoft Project, Visio, and all MS Office Tools.
- Knowledge on the Kanban System and Scaling Scrum is a plus
- Scrum Master certification is preferred
