Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

• Performing the month end close process from Business Accounting perspective, including data gathering, consolidation and review of margins, revenue and costs by country or business groups
• Driving the preparation of revenue and cost accruals/deferrals
• Summarizing all findings for Controllers to support discussions with the business
• Creation and analysis of business cases
• Supporting one business unit (or multiple divisions) through delivery of effective management information
• Production and/or coordination of monthly business review packs
• Providing insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting
• Interpretation and clear communication of results, reports and analysis
• Continuous review and improvement of management information
• Raising queries to Finance colleagues based on analysis and insights into Management Information
• Performing ad hoc tasks and reporting related to business accounting requested by line or functional manager
Education and experience:
• General and business/management accounting knowledge is desired
• Good understanding of financial processes
• Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting
• Min 2 years of relevant working experience
• Good knowledge of financial statements
• Experience in Financial SSC/GSC or working in International environment
Knowledge and skills:

• Good team player working towards common group targets but also leading initiatives
• High standard of verbal and written communications skills in English
• Must have an very good analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
• Must be a results oriented professional with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Assured self-starter on relevant projects and work is a plus
• Good MS Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Knowledge of finance systems & tools is an advantage (SAP FI/CO, PeopleSoft, BIBW, BPC, QlikView)

The Philippines site, located at the Bonifacio Stopover Corporate Center, is the third and final Global Service Center (GSC) of 3M Company, which will bring all the advantages of the GSC model to the Asia Pacific region. It is responsible for optimizing 3M Company’s delivery of transactional services in the region, and essentially strengthens 3M Company’s operations around the world, as all three GSCs will work together to bring the highest level of service no matter where they are. 3M Service Center will partner with the other GSCs to provide around-the-clock global service. It will host activities ranging from, among others, sourcing, IT, Finance, human resources, all of which are IT-enabled.
