Job Description

Job Summary:
The person in this position is a part of Global Simplification & Process Automation Team at Global Service Center PH. He/she is responsible to deliver process simplification, workflow and automation services to 3M business operation teams, resolve issues and queries related to automation solutions. Person will solve business problems by using: sharp analytic skills, design, ensure the delivered solution matches global business requirements. You will analyze and resolve issues with Automation solutions (RPA and .NET) by configuring runtime environments, BOTs and raising development bugs to the team. Person will also be asked to implement change requests from time to time.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Performing proactive monitoring, queue management, handling L1 and L2 incidents • Build and Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
  • Executes release, change and code transport between the environments
  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, alerting and fixing
  • Perform system administration activities like patching, upgrades, cleanup and maintenance
  • Maintain good communication with end users in understanding and addressing issues
  • Implement minor enhancements coming through change requests
  • Perform problem management through root cause analysis for production errors
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Explore and research new technologies, build POCs and prepare roadmap for cloud deployments
  • Undertake other duties and tasks that may be delegated by 3M Management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in any IT-related field
  • Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
  • Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development or operations
  • Hands-on development experience in C#.NET or RPA tool (Blue Prism/Automation Anywhere/UI Path.)
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies (Citrix) and Cloud (Azure system admin)
  • Experience in working at a global / multi-cultural environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with maintenance of Windows infrastructure, IIS, databases, MS SQL, CI/CD tools, scripting (any), .NET environment
  • Familiarity /experience with any of the following frameworks or methodologies: Agile methodologies, Lean software development, project management
  • perience in Scrum/Kanban, Agile workflow methodologies
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, Release, Change and transport management
  • Experience in working at a global / multi-cultural environment

Knowledge and skills:

  • Fast learning and well-developed analytical thinking, design thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Basic understanding on how to read and understand code (Code-competency) for diagnosis, escalation to development teams
  • Proficient and fluent in English for all written and verbal communication
  • Exposure in the areas of ERP, customer digital experience, AI and machine learning will be beneficial
  • Adaptable, able to work across teams, functions and applications

The Philippines site, located at the Bonifacio Stopover Corporate Center, is the third and final Global Service Center (GSC) of 3M Company, which will bring all the advantages of the GSC model to the Asia Pacific region. It is responsible for optimizing 3M Company’s delivery of transactional services in the region, and essentially strengthens 3M Company’s operations around the world, as all three GSCs will work together to bring the highest level of service no matter where they are. 3M Service Center will partner with the other GSCs to provide around-the-clock global service. It will host activities ranging from, among others, sourcing, IT, Finance, human resources, all of which are IT-enabled.
