  • A Bachelor / University Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
  • Amenable to work in Taguig
  • 7-10 years solid background in R2R processes
  • Worked in Multinational and FMCG and Shared Services
  • University degree (Accounting or Finance). A professional qualification of ACCA, CPA or similar is a plus. Knowledge of statutory accounting principles for the countries within the cluster is an advantage
  • Excellent proven managerial skills
  • At least 2 years of People Management experience and 5 years experience working in Financial Accounting department.
  • Experience of managing medium- teams
  • Team motivator, adaptable, excellent communication skills and Customer oriented
  • SAP experience
  • Excellent understanding of the R2R process
Role:

Reporting to GBS Accounting and Finance Lead, this position exists to provide overall support to the teams and their customers in Asia Pacific and Americas Region in all the areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Cash Management, Financial Supply Chain Management (TMO/TBO), VAT or GST compliance to ensure consistent,, efficient and effective service delivery including provision of analytical and financial reporting services to in full compliance with company Accounting & IFRS requirements, Corporate policies and procedures, GBS internal guidelines, individual market requirements and JSOX GRM.
As part of the core service delivery team, this role focus mainly on the people management aspect to ensure effective distribution of team resources to achieve team target and objective, including responsible to manage processes and system advancements across the teams with the aim to create synergies of system related processes across different functions and geographical regions (ie cross GBS and with other company Corporate fucntions). Locally, he/she will also be responsible for implementing processes and system improvement initiatives, managing and driving the development of knowledge relating to SAP system and processes of the Power User by working closely with R2R Expert.
Responsibilities:
Leading the team: Team Lead is responsible to manage, lead, develop, inspire and motivate their team. In line with company’s talent and succession planning principles, a Team Lead must continuously coach and develop team members’ skills and capabilities for their career and performance development. He/She will encourage and support his/her team members to ensure that they take responsibility for their own performance and development; while at the same time, provide timely guidance and coaching to team members when addressing any performance issues.
Managing resources: Team Lead is responsible to effectively manage the team’s workload and resources so as to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of core services. With effective decision making and problem solving skills, he/she must guide and empower the team to resolve issues, assess alternatives or identify areas for improvements that would meet the team’s and also business needs.
Performance review: On an annual basis, Team Lead is responsible to define the team’s objectives that are in support of GBS’s Business Objectives. He/She must regularly review team members’ performance against the objectives and provide timely and constructive feedback so as to ensure that team members clearly understand and is aware of their performance levels throughout the year.
Ensure adequacy of controls over processing of Record to Report documents and compliance to policies and procedures. This is achieved by: (i) Overseeing Quality Assurance review and ensure findings are actioned timely to assure team member are complying with set policies and procedures and all customers have the same service levels; (ii) Identifing and implementing procedural changes to improve control environment; (iii) Enforcement of standards, both behavioral and corporate; (iv) Ensuring that all team member execute and evidence as control owners in accordance to J-SOX GRM
Provide good assistance & support to Functional Lead and team members; as well as build and maintain good relationships across the business with key stakeholders including but not limited to GBS. This is achieved by : (i) Supporting the functional lead in meeting objectives and targets set for the R2R function; (ii) Ensuring teamwork within R2R and with other function within GBS (iii) Participating in cross-functional activities/ initiatives of Global and local GBS (iv) Working closely with Expert to obtain continuous feedback to enable effective allocation of task for the team and to execute people management activities within his/ her regime
Work with the relevant community related to R2R on process improvement projects / initiatives and investigation work related to team. (i) Actively involve in decision making process on any process improvement/ initiative to ensure optimal result is achieve for the business as a whole (ii) Provide support on any global and local Performance Improvement projects/assignments by ensuring alignment on approaches, resources, time lines and deliverables in close co-ordination with the senior expert, functional leads and enabling function (where applicable) for successful delivery
Embrace GBS Mission and Vission to achieve operational excellent through (i) Possess adequate business and process knowledge to guide team member
(ii) Perform review on R2R and market performance metric (KPI) to identify improvement that optimize / improve business processes (iii) Continuously embed improvement mindset across the team and supporting member in completing projects to improve processes within the remit of team.
Other Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.
Support to Entities Provide support: Demonstrate commitment to achieve service excellence and be customer focused; and ensure timely communication and resolution of queries/issues. Provide good support to Entities by developing knowledge of the entity's business and operational needs and provide expert advise/solution on R2R related matters.
