Job Description

A successful candidate must be creative enough to come up with ad-hoc tests and other test scenarios that can greatly affect the functionality of the system or application under test. The candidate needs to have a passion for technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve our software's usability and functionality, knowledge of UX design is a plus. We are a small and growing agile team and you will play a key role with a lot of responsibilities, so we need folks who are strong independent thinkers, self-motivated, and highly communicative.
We're looking for engineers with the following criteria:

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • White-box testing and can troubleshoot issues and identify root cause
  • Manual Testing, Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing
  • A passion for working in small agile teams (Scrum)
  • Log, manage, and retest defects in a bug tracking system
  • Work with developers to provide additional research and debugging of issues to resolve problems
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for tackling diverse development challenges
  • Self-learner, independent, and shows initiative to look for solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Must be able to work on night shift (11PM - 8AM)

Other Skills:
  • Knowledge in Java and Selenium, or other automation tools
  • Familiar with Jira, SQL writing in MySQL, Backend testing
  • Background in Agile methodology, UX Design, Mobile Testing
  • Knowledge of SoapUI and/or JMeter for testing APIs is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts
  • Prepare and manage test environment
  • Execute regression test suites, integration tests, end to end tests
  • Report, escalate and analyze test results
  • Report/Track defects
  • Interact and collaborate with users/stakeholders, and development teams
  • Interface with users/stakeholders regarding requirements and reporting
