Position Description
• Work with the APAC GDCoE - SBU Privacy Business Partner to identify any gaps between CGI’s Privacy Program vis-à-vis the requirements under the DPA, its IRR, issuances by the NPC, and other applicable laws for Philippines and remediate any non-compliances.
• Continue to monitor and advise APAC GDCoE - SBU Privacy Business Partner on the compliances with the DPA, its IRR, issuances by the NPC, and other applicable laws.
• Extend support to APAC GDCoE - SBU Privacy Business Partner on internal reporting for any PH-specific matters.
• Review personal data inventory records (for controller and processor activities); prior to sign off by business owners.
• Maintain notifications through co-ordination with the NPC and share updates with APAC –GDCoE –SBU privacy partner as required.
Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Assist & advise PH SBU in conducting privacy impact assessments, considering lawfulness and legitimacy of personal data processed ,vis-à-vis the requirements under the DPA, its IRR, issuances by the NPC, and other applicable laws for Philippines and remediate any non-compliances.
2. Serve as the contact person for data subject requests and complaints
3. Responsible for preparation and submission to the NPC of reports and other documentation concerning security incidents or data breaches within the prescribed period
4. Serve as the primary contact person for CGI PH vis-à-vis data subjects, the NPC and other authorities in all matters concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns.
5. Cooperate, coordinate and seek advice of the NPC regarding matters concerning data privacy and security.
6. Perform such other duties and tasks that may be agreed between the APAC GDCoE - SBU Privacy Business Partner (APAC DPO) and the PH DPO.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• College Degree
• Significant (4-7 years) experience in audit, privacy laws, including drafting of privacy policies, assessment and mitigation of risks.
• Demonstrated client relationship skills to continuously coordinate with controllers and processors while maintaining independence
• Demonstrated communication skills to speak with a wide-ranging audience, from the leadership team to data subjects, from managers to staff and lawyers
• Demonstrated self-starter with ability to gain required knowledge in dynamic environments
• Personal skills requirement: Integrity, Initiative, Organization, Perseverance, Discretion, Assertiveness in difficult circumstances, Able to resolve conflicts, Able to build working relationships
