• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Oracle Database Administrator, working directly with Oracle 11g and 12c.
• Experience in basic performance tuning and identifying root cause analysis of issues in resolving tickets generated via Service Now (Candidates must have in-depth understanding of reading alert logs and AWR)
• Experience in managing Oracle RAC 12c Database.
• Experience in Oracle RAC 12c Grid Administration is desired.
• Experience in managing Data Guard solution.
• Experience in managing database in Linux (Redhat and SUSE), Windows or Solaris Unix desired
• Experience in backup restore and recovery design and implementation using RMAN in Actifio & Networker.
• Strong knowledge in Oracle Enterprise Manager as a tool to manage the existing databases.
• Demonstrated use of Stored Procedures, Triggers, Cursors, Logins and Views
• Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action
• Genuine desire to provide superior customer service.
• Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
• Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with technical subject matter experts, and business customers are essential in this role.
• Ability to operate in a support and build role & responsibilities.
• Experience in managing databases in cloud environment.
• Knowledgeable in Oracle Golden Gate.
• 4 or 5 year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relational functional field) and/or equivalent education.
