Job Description



The Role
As Merchant Management Operations, you will perform direct supervision of all officers and staff, and all activities of the Loans Servicing & Fulfillment Department. Ensures the timely and accurate processing of loan transactions in accordance with the approved terms and conditions, company's policies and procedures, accepted accounting principles, regulations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and other government agencies. Coordinates with clients and different units/departments on all items/issues related to loan operations, customer fulfillment, and after-sales transactions. Provides support to group projects and all operations-related matters.
How you'll contribute
  • Oversees system specifications, design, and development by reviewing documentation to ensure that system meets user and business expectations as well as comply with regulations and necessary controls are in place
  • Ensures the correctness and validity of transactions by reviewing, validating, and authorizing in accordance with the approved terms and conditions, Bank policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, BSP regulation, and other regulatory agencies regulations to achieve accuracy and guarantee compliance
  • Manages subordinates and company policies by enforcing policies with respect to work assignments, employee performance, training, promotions, attendance, discipline, and other personnel and administrative policies to ensure that the welfare of the bank, the department, and its people are secured
  • Manages creation of a request for merchant transaction adjustment based on merchants initiated the request to release the correct payment and/or billing, reconciliation, settlement, and chargeback to merchant and/or cardholder
  • Oversees the Merchant's inquiries, requests, and complaints using the bank's core values - integrity and execution excellence to address the merchant's demands and needs
  • Assists the Operations Division Head by supporting through planning, organizing, and supervising the activities of the department to support the division in the achievement of its goals and set objectives
  • Ensures that process improvements, new systems, systems enhancements, and automation are properly implemented in order to improve operating efficiency
  • Conducts review of merchant documentary requirements to validate new merchant affiliates and determine those who complied with the requirements
  • Handles build-up of merchant and terminal in the system within the set turn-around-time to be able to affiliate the merchant and accept our credit cards as a means of payment of the customers

What we're looking for
  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any related field
  • Should have at least 7 years relevant experience in the banking, credit card companies, leasing/financing Institutions
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
  • Knowledge in Banking regulations, lending operations, and Financing process
  • Strong background in Accounting, problem-solving, decision making, and negotiation skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties keen on details
  • Good people management skills
  • Good oral & written communication and presentation skills
