Purpose:
The Lead Research and Project Coordinator is responsible for developing the sales pipeline for Decor Sales Consultants. This will be achieved by coordinating and managing strategies to research, evaluate and monitor projects, influence existing or potential customers to specify products, and generate sales. This role is responsible for tracking projects to assist with the client relations team and identifying the relevant parties are involved in each project.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Hit targets and achieve growth through efficient use of resource, including time.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Identify specific sales opportunities
  • Scour daily Cordell reports for relevant opportunities and create Project opportunities off them inside Salesforce
  • Use the daily Cordell report of updated projects to update project opportunities inside salesforce.
  • Utilise weekly update emails from EstimateOne to create new project opportunities.
  • Mine the projects, create new opportunities based on Decor or competitor products have been specified in view of sales opportunities being created
  • Utilise Cordell to research opportunities in view of Decor products being specified into projects
  • Track projects nationally for project updates including Awarded builders and subbies to progress project opportunities
  • Educate and persuade customers to specify product
  • Go the 'extra mile' to meet quotas, facilitate relationship building and assure future sales. Make 'WOW!'
  • Ensure fast and accurate usage of CRM and other sales applications
  • Forensic follow up any leads or referrals identified via research or events (GBE and CPD's)
  • Aid & abet a process improvement culture across the Product (sales) team and ensure processes are cost effective and efficient, within quality standards and budget. Actively participate in Decor's 'SPRINT' program.
  • Identify emerging products, markets and market shifts
  • Be fully aware of competition status
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to colleagues
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Manage existing client event program including arranging morning tea's (Architects) and CPD's. This includes working with sales to identify companies, invitees, issuing invitations, and RSVP's. In addition, organising demonstration (sample) materials Sales Consultant(s) to present at function. Working with Client Care Manager to organise appropriate catering. With sales team, identify/recommend future event programs to engage stakeholders
  • Assist with the development, review, implementation and sign-off of any new product offerings and initiatives
  • Track number of projects handed over to sales and number of specifications secured from week to week
  • Handle new incoming calls nationally, convert to projects and update Salesforce
