Job Role:

IT Director is responsible for overseeing the technical infrastructure within an organization, leading a team of IT staff, determining business requirements for IT systems, managing the design and implementation of IT infrastructure, and eliminating security risks. In some cases, they also oversee the organization's help desk.
You Will Do

• Overseeing all IT operations including staff and infrastructure.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
• Liaising with other departments, determining and addressing their IT needs and requirements.
• Liaise on all projects, including defining, planning and executing the introduction of technology solutions
• Understand the business, identify opportunities and implement strategic technologies
• Define technology objectives, strategies and directions, ie translating business strategy into technology strategy
• Managing and supervising employees in the IT department.
• Ensuring the maintenance of current projects and technology systems.
• Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
• Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new systems and software.
• Preparing financial budgets and performance reports.
• Building and maintaining relationships with external advisors and vendors.
• Strong appreciation of latest technologies, strategies and innovative approaches to help transform businesses;
• Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner.
You Should Have

• A Bachelors/Post-graduate degree in IT or Engineering or equivalent, with at least 15years of relevant experience;
• Familiar with digital, online and/or mobile technologies and approaches;
• Experienced in project management, including managing teams across applications;
• Extensive experience in managing a good number of applications/infrastructure and delivering complex innovative technology initiatives;
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders;
• Strong appreciation of latest technologies, strategies and innovative approaches to help transform businesses;
• Excellent stakeholder management experience;
• Proven experience in managing IT operations and large IT teams successfully;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
