Today, IOM operates in 400 offices across more than 100 countries, with an operating budget of approximately USD 1.8Bn in 2018, mainly through member states contributions and donor funding. IOM is currently undertaking an institutional review of key business operating processes under the initiative Internal Governance Framework (IGF), with procurement and supply chain (PSC) identified as one of the initial pilot areas.
The overarching goal of strengthening procurement and supply chain within IOM is to foster scaled synergies through strategic sourcing and collaborative partnerships, to boost procurement and supply chain efficiency along with effectiveness with regard to programme and project delivery, resulting in operational excellence. To achieve this goal, a multi-year workplan is being developed to optimize procurement and supply chain systems and processes, human resources, including capacity building, complemented by a matrix of clearly defined roles and responsibilities, outlining segregation of duties and delegation of authority that will result in greater transparency and accountability across the Organization.
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Global Procurement and Supply Unit (GPSU), in close coordination with Business Analyst Officer for Procurement and Supply Chain, and overall supervision of Chief, Procurement and Supply Division (PSD), the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the integrity of Vendor Master data in the ERP system and across the integrated systems landscape. The Business Analyst acts as Subject Matter Expert on various business initiatives related to Vendor Management System, and provide technical guidance and support as necessary for new governance processes, data maintenance and analysis.
