The Opportunity
The Financial Analyst will be responsible in reporting to the MIM Manager within the MIM Revenue and Billing team. The team consists of team members in both Manila and North America whose primary role is to produce accurate, timely and relevant company-wide revenue reporting and billing processes within the Global Wealth & Asset Management Accounting & Reporting team.

We are looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's degree concentrating in Accounting or Finance CPA is an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting operations and/or audit
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cultures. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must VBA is a plus). Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Project.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude to learn
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, work under tight timelines and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Well organized and with high level of energy and initiative to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities to meet deadlines

On the job you will:
  • Monthly/Quarterly required activities (80% of monthly workload)
  • Projects, Process Improvement (20% of monthly workload)
  • Assist and support to the Governance and Board Reporting team on annual audits related to revenue and intercompany accounts of MAM entities
  • Work closely with affiliated business teams to deliver financial analysis and commentary required to provide management with comprehensive insight into the financial dynamics of all aspects of the business related to revenue and billing processes
  • Complete system-driven accrual and invoice process (both intercompany and third-party) - responsibilities include:
  • New client setup through automated Excel templates
  • Modification of existing client static data, including GL attributes, through system GUI and client setup templates
  • Prepare AUM feeds for system automated import
  • Completion of AUM and fee templates, including fluctuation investigation
  • Review of all fee calculations and invoice templates (where applicable) prior to system-driven distribution to clients
  • Process client cash receipts
  • For manual clients and processes, perform Excel-based AUM load, invoice creation and journal entry creation/loading
  • Prepare system-driven or manual client account reconciliations and aging investigate breaks and outstanding receipts
  • Collaborate with Treasury to clear suspense accounts for a number of entities. Prepare monthly revenue true-up schedules
  • Process wire requests for routine and non-routine intercompany payments and third-party transactions
  • Various monthly/quarterly reporting to groups throughout MAM and Manulife
  • Perform controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
