Job Description

Main Purpose Of the Job:
  • The Executive Manager will provide executive-level support to the President and CEO on strategic and operational business needs as to enable maximization and efficiency of the President and CEO’s time management. 
  • This is a senior position requiring a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, stakeholder management and discretion in handling highly confidential information and material.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the President and CEO in all aspects of executive-level corporate duties including but not limited to: 
  • Produces information useful for decision making by understanding problem, researching answer, transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. 
  • Preparation of presentations suitable for Executive Management 
  • Reading, researching, and routing queries; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications. 
  • Represents the executive by attending meetings in the executive's absence; speaking for the executive. 
  • Completes projects by assigning work to leadership team; following up on results. 
  • Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information. 
  • Facilitates meetings, produces minutes 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Event co-ordination – workshops, external events 
  • Creates and defines the plan for continuous improvement based on agreed areas of focus. 
  • Manages cross-team risk and issue escalations 
  • Creates Comms Plan including Committees Meeting structure. o Facilitates resolutions of escalations to CEO 
  • Drives completion of outstanding actions across the CEO’s leadership team & provides regular updates on status to CEO
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field EXPERIENCE: 15+ years corporate experience as an executive manager or equivalent At least 3 years of working experience in the Insurance field an advantage 
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
Skill & Competencies:
  • This role requires a candidate who has the capability to work in a culturally diverse, dynamic environment and is delivery orientated. 
  • Candidate needs to be proactive, self-starter with strong problem solving skills. 
  • Strong communication skills are critical as is the ability to influence positive outcomes through negotiation with key stakeholders. 
  • Candidate should have practical experience working with Executives and Senior Leadership teams. 

KNOWLEDGE / OTHER SKILLS: · 
  • Acute attention to detail 
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities in order to meet strict deadlines 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Must maintain and respect highly confidential information and material concerning the organization and the President and CEO’s role 
  • Highly organized 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, well-presented 
  • Highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a growing team 
  • Attendance and punctuality is expected 
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to the ongoing needs of the President and CEO and the Business 
  • Willingness to put in the hours required to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to prioritize and identify critical path activities 
  • Courage to have tough discussions with peers for failure to meet timelines and / or deliver quality outcome/s for the CEO Spoken and written language · English
