About the Role:
The Database Engineer supports the efficiency of business in the company by managing, monitoring, and maintaining Focus Global's AX platform. Responsible for providing AX support across different teams, the Database Engineer ensures that sales, logistics, and inventory requirements can be fulfilled through the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, monitor and manage an internal AX Help Desk
  • Answer and manage Microsoft Dynamics AX Inquiries from various users
  • Create and maintain user access and data views based on user and audience needs
  • SQL script writing
  • Engage with various AX platform users to gather, identify, and finalize user requirements
  • Function as a subject matter expert for application design, feature optimization, availability, scalability, user experience, visualization and data integrity
  • Develop functional specification designs including definition of functional requirements and business scenarios for the company
  • Participate in quality management reviews including designs, prototypes and other stages of project to ensure requirements are fulfilled
  • Engage with project teams to gather assets, best practices and guidance from our customers in an effort to integrate and/or improve our methodologies and end customer experience
  • Partner with IT to support back-up and restore methods and protocols.
  • Review and evaluate new AX functionality to ensure installation for continual operations.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation experience
  • AX, Project flow experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • SQL script writing experience or with training in SQL scriptwriting
  • Experience in report specification creation and field mapping
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
