Job Description

This position will also assist in shaping the voice of local brands, developing a content strategy that connects with audiences across multiple platforms, and ensuring content and experiences delight consumers while also driving growth for the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Content Execution
o Develops content assets used for traditional and digital marketing channels, including websites, social media sites, video, email communications, collateral materials and publications. Reviews, edits and approves work from local marketers with a focus on quality, consistency, style and inspired expression of the local market and hospital brands.
o Creates resources and interactive elements to attract interest and engagement among the hospitals’ key audiences on the web and other digital channels and writes and/or edits material for multiple channels (print, web site, social), based on key messaging and brand guidelines
o Writes, edits and creates ad campaign and content marketing materials in order to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics based on hospital priorities (examples include eBooks, blog posts, whitepapers, guides, video/radio copy, social media posts, educational materials, email sequences, direct mail packages, infographics, and web content for consumers)
o Writes educational and marketing materials for healthcare consumers with a focus on key service line topics including, but not limited to, pregnancy, heart conditions, cancer, back pain, hip or knee pain, and emergencies
o Assists in providing website content strategy including the integration of blog content and the Health Library’s Conditions, Tests and Treatment sections for use in the development of engagement-driving campaign landing pages
o Collaborates with designers, internal stakeholders, external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audiences
o Ensures content deliverables meet legal and compliance requirements
• Optimization/Effectiveness
o Works collaboratively with others and teaches marketers how to create unique, shareable content that evokes emotion on all platforms. Identifies engaging content, teaches others how to do so, and assists in developing a roadmap on how to meet organizational goals
o Champions innovative and robust content initiatives employing a multitude of formats including editorial, video, infographics and data-driven pieces and stays abreast of industry trends, strategies and techniques ensuring that the communications strategies are on the forefront of modern delivery systems
o Applies a holistic approach to creative content development, considering all available media; envisions ways to use existing content across multiple channels using creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media to enhance stories and content

• Work closely with content manager to transform web copy into easily scannable, engaging and keyword-rich content
• Generate brand engagement and conversation with masterful digital storytelling
• Ensure all assets adhere to highest standards of quality and compliance
• Uphold brand and style standards as well as web content best practices
• QA deliverables to ensure the highest standard of quality
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Outstanding writing skills across both traditional and digital media channels, as demonstrated by a portfolio of work illustrating an ability to maintain a big picture perspective, while still remaining attentive to details and deadlines
• Expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.) and how each platform can be used as a communications vehicle. Demonstrated understanding of paid, earned and owned media integration
• A proactive servicing approach and a strong sense of urgency to respond to matters on time with a collaborative style which engenders the respect of others. An active listener with exceptional oral and written communication skills
• A focus on a team approach while also holding her/himself accountable
