The successful candidate will be a pioneer of sorts for this role as the latter is the first in DPI's history and if the business partnership grows then the successful candidate would be part of that journey.
Function
The Business Partnership Executive (BPE) is responsible for the execution of plans under Diageo's business partnership with key customer. The BPE will report to the Head of Distribution and Business Partnership.
About the Role
This role is expected to effectively manage and develop the partnership's business with retail customers in the assigned area.

  • Maintain and nurture strong, influential partnership with key sales personnel of the business partner and key retail customers through regular engagements such business reviews, planning sessions, trade visits, and other meetings as needed.

  • Working closely with Customer Marketing counterpart and business partner's team for efficient and effective execution/implementation of programs and promotions in the stores covered.

  • Prepare an annual trade investment plan for the business partnership utilizing a thorough understanding of and insights about the area or stores covered.

  • Conduct monthly cycle meetings with partner's sales team to monitor progress, identify opportunities, and determine necessary courses of action.

  • Responsible to consistently giving feedback to line manager, business partner and Diageo internal stakeholders of market information relevant to the development of category and channel strategies and tactics.

  • Ensure appropriate allocation and disbursement of budgets, the evaluation of their use, and their utilization according to company policies.

Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages

  • At least two years of sales/commercial experiences, ideally within consumer goods and/or general trade environment.

  • Understanding of category management and the implementation of customer programs will be a plus.

  • The individual should possess a team-oriented & collaborative approach

  • Able to drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Must be proficient in MS Office including knowledge of formulas and pivot tables in Excel

  • Good written & verbal communications and presentations skill
