Job Description:


  • Understanding of key insurance processes (claims, underwriting, new business, policy administration)
  • Ability to precisely document
  • Elicit business requirements and perform cost/benefit analysis.
  • Ensure issues are identified, tacked, reported and resolved in a timely manner
  • Independently undertake projects of a complex nature and ad-hoc requests as required
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities, align requirements and contribute to the next steps as the team addresses the needs of the evolving industry trends
  • Influence the prioritization of team roadmap based on the needs of the business and benefits to customers
  • Analyzes process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete business transactions
  • Assist in creating Solution Design Documents and mapping
  • Participate with Agile teams in analysis of process automation requirements
  • Participate in design and development of proof of concepts
  • Manage project risk through mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
  • Actively manages the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan.
  • Establish and maintain basic scope control procedures for assigned initiatives.
  • Initiate and maintain reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects; gathers input and feedback.


  • 3-5 years business analyst experience
  • Critical thinking – ability to challenge and ask questions on information presented
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of deliverables
  • Strong communication and summarization skills – ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical knowledge effectively.
  • Ability to envision solutions, communicate those solutions, and help form tangible outputs from those conceptual solutions.
  • Ability to interface effectively with investment and operations staff – to observe, interpret, and analyze user needs.
  • An intellectual curiosity that drives the person to dig into complex challenges and find ways to solve them.
  • Communicating complex technology subjects in layman’s terms
  • Efficiently execute and implement plans and programs
  • High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to exercise flexibility and sound judgement
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with prioritization that may change due to business or project deadlines.
