Co-leads the design and implementation of audit procedures throughout the organization and brings new and creative ideas to improve audit quality and efficiency of operations. The Audit Manager trains, mentors and motivates staff, and provides regular updates to management.
Provide significant support to the Directors and Head of IA in the achievement of IA's functional objectives, as per mandate of the Internal Audit Charter of the Audit Committee of the Board and in accordance with IIA Standards.
A. Provide assurance on, and identifying opportunities for improvement in, processes and controls governing:
- All aspects of the business / operations
- Compliance to legal, statutory/regulatory requirements (e.g., NTC, SEC, BIR)
- Telecommunication network principles, standards, methodologies and best practices.
B. 100% delivery of the approved Annual Work Plan, on an assignment basis
C. Provide value adding consultative / advisory services within Globe and across subsidiaries, by recommending improvements in the areas of network engineering and operations, data management, automation and other emerging practices, as required.
Key functional responsibilities:
1. As Lead Auditor managing Senior Specialists and/or Assignment Auditors, for 'easy/simple/routine' and 'medium/moderate' reviews/audit jobs.
2. Guides the Senior Specialists and/or Assignment Auditors in preparing clear, concise, accurate and timely communications (e.g., audit report, presentation materials, audit issue sheets, etc.) that convey relevant facts and information.
3. Executes 'difficult/complex' and special/investigative reviews/audit jobs, under the general guidance of the Director
4. Significantly assists the Director in the Annual Planning activities.
5. Cultivates and maintains strong and effective working relationships and extensive informal networks.
6. Promotes a professional, safe and cooperative work environment.
7. In all jobs assigned, can effectively do multi-tasking and complete tasks and meet assigned objectives timely and efficiently.

1. Analytical skills (ability to work through an issue, e.g., process analysis, gap analysis, etc.).
2. Problem Identification & Solution - ability to grasp quickly minor & major and/or isolated & pervasive problems/issues, and address them effectively and efficiently.
3. Communication Skills - communicates effectively in person and in writing sending clear and convincing messages, effective listening.
4. Ability to apply telecom & IT principles, standards, methodologies and good practices in the assessment of risk & controls over:

- Design of network and IT architecture
- Processes over network and IT
5. Report Development
a. As Lead Auditor of routine or easy, medium and complex IA engagements, produce IA reports and presentation materials based on professional standard, on time and in budget keep management informed of audit issues on a timely basis.
b. As Assignment Auditor of medium and complex reviews / audit assignment,
produce IA reports based on professional standard, on time and in budget
keep management informed of audit issues on a timely basis.
6. Time Management - achieving goals and tasks on time, with efficient use of resources, within budget
7. Critical Thinking - confidence to probe and challenge existing assumptions can easily detect urgency and knows when to be persistent focuses on critical tasks
8. Ability to handle multiple tasks - can do multi-tasking but not compromising
other assignments through consistent practice of effective time management
9. Keeping up to date with changes in international standards/framework (e.g.,
COBIT, ETOM, etc.), changes in professional opinions, regulations and best
practices.
