Job Description

The Android App Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the mobile application of company. The team owns the mobile application developed for the operations.
Reporting to the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for developing mobile application to support mobile functionality while keeping up-to-date with the technology, concepts and follow best practices for coding mobile applications. Mobile developers contribute to the design, testing, releasing, and support of the application.
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android Platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data source and API’s
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Use and adapt existing web applications for the apps

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in Android app development
  • Strong understanding of Kotlin, Java and Gradle
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development life cycle
  • Experience with third-party libraries, tools and APIs, such as Android Jetpack, Firebase, Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide, Dagger, Hilt, RxJava, Coroutines and etc.
  • Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Experience in creating and updating unit tests and UI tests
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles
  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications for Android
