Bring your career aspirations to life with AIA!Responsible for developing and implementing processes and controls to ensure compliance with rules and regulations that prevent financial crime, with primary focus on AML, Sanctions, and ABC.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Governance:
  • Review and update of ABC Policy on a regular basis or as needed
  • Localize/create AML and/or ABC-related SOPs/Guidelines/etc.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis of new and/or amended regulations,advisories,etc. related to ABC and drive the remediation of any identified gaps
  • Develop local policies and standards related to ABC, in the absence of appropriate Group policy or standard
  • Drive effective AML controls by providing investigations Framework and monitor adoption/implementation
  • Drive effective AML controls by creating and maintaining regulatory reporting guidelines
  • Identify priorities and emerging risks through environment, legal and regulatory, and business scans and align with ABC initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to align both strategic and tactical initiatives of the Company to ABC-related laws and regulations and Group-mandated policies to create more value to the Company

Reporting:
  • Prompt reporting of High Operational Risk Incidents (ORI)
  • Timely escalation and intervention where risks exceeding appetite is encountered
  • Oversight/monitoring of remediation activities by escalating within TAT from knowledge/report by FU to Head of Regulatory Compliance and/or other appropriate party any delayed actions per framework

Expert Advice
  • Support business priorities by completion of requested activities within TAT
  • Provide SME advice during meetings and discussions with 1st line function, members of senior management, etc.

Assurance
  • Develop and lead any compliance testing related to AML, Sanctions, and ABC
  • Drive regulatory and group-initiated ABC-related risk assessments
  • Liaise with regulator/s in relation to ABC related reviews, audits, etc.

Transformation
  • Provide support as AML SME in transforming the operational aspect of AML, Sanctions, & ABC
  • Identify areas for possible transformation activities and coordinate with the Transformation lead within Compliance and other functional units.

Education and Training
  • Lead in the development of AML, Sanctions, and ABC related training modules using training-needs and risk-bases analyses
  • Provide trainings related to AML and ABC in accordance with the training plan
  • Lead in the creation and dissemination of AML, Sanctions, and ABC related communications to general stakeholders
  • Attend AML and ABC-related courses, trainings, etc. to further expand and deepen subject matter expertise
  • Attend and complete TDA and other related courses

R&C Others
- All other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Business, Law, or related courses.
  • Handling regulatory requirements and financial crimes prevention, analysis, and reporting (anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC)) in a financial institution (e,g., Insurance, InsurTech, Banks, and FinTech) or consulting firms with focus on financial services
  • Financial crime operating model design and implementation
  • Risk management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations
  • Desirable - Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist
  • Received data analytics training or has attended data analytics certificate programs
  • Knowledge of global financial crime compliance with regulation in different countries
  • Links developments in global trade, markets, business practices and the economic environment to required improvements in the financial and risk management of the Company.
  • A highly collaborative work style and the ability to partner with staff at all levels of the business
  • Strong communication skills and experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in areas of significant ambiguity
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of financial crime regulation, client onboarding and/or client life-cycle management in financial services
  • Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Must be comfortable in delivering messages across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of digital/technical understanding.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
