Job Description
Basic Job Function: 
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing expertise in all facets of a specific Claims Administration Product including application use, data model, and product built-in configuration tools, and leveraging this acquired expertise to help design, develop and deliver solutions to customer needs. 
 

In this role, the Business Analyst is to engage customers in gathering business requirements and expected results and steering them into adopting best practice processes and workflows already built into the product. Where customizations are necessary, elicit, analyze and document requirements, determine product impact and lead in crafting and implementing the solution. 
 

The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated professional with experience in Property & Casualty Insurance specifically in the Claims Administration domain, possesses customer engagement/consultative skills, and must have technical acuity. 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the Claims Application – back end (database), front end (User Interface and Built-In Configuration Tools) and anything in between (interfaces and integrations)

• Partnering with customers to define business needs and eliciting business requirements on complex implementation engagements

• Independently producing high-quality artifacts that accurately depict customer needs

o Business requirements documentation

o Work flow/Process flow diagrams

o Requirements Traceability Matrix

• Planning and leading the facilitation of requirements and solution discussions

• Providing comprehensive research, analysis and recommendations for proposed solutions

• Acquiring product configuration skills and implementing required non-programming configurations to meet business requirements

• Actively participating in peer reviews/inspections for requirements, estimates, and specifications; providing feedback and guidance to others

• Leading the development of supporting documentation and/or training

• Providing staff training as subject matter expert

• Providing support as needed to internal and external customers

• Demonstrating system capabilities to customers as needed

• Facilitating of estimating discussions and coordinating work efforts

• Providing support for testing activities

SKILL/STRENGTHS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


1. 3 years Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry experience

2. 3 years in-depth experience in commercial insurance claims processes

3. 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst or Implementation Specialist or Implementation Consultant or Systems Consultant

4. Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills

5. Must have Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) knowledge and experience; must be able to demonstrate basic SQL/database query skills

6. In-depth knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle

7. Proficient use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

8. Candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized

9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

10. Strong ethics: Handle responsibilities with integrity and the highest standards of professionalism

11. Programming experience preferred

12. Project Management experience preferred

13. Must be willing to work the Philippine Night Shift
