Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors multiple client SharePoint environments.

• Troubleshoots issues promptly, following client established SLAs.

• Oversees activity pertaining to the proper maintenance of SharePoint.

• Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to SharePoint software.

• Upgrade SharePoint software with latest patches, following best practice deployment processes and coordinates with client and team schedules.

• Manages and customizes the layout of the site(s) according to documented requirements

• Maintains documentation of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.

• Stay abreast of changing O365, SharePoint technology and 3rd party tools and make recommendations for uses in client’s environments.

• Gather requirements and document new changes requested by clients.

• Possesses ability to think creatively to create customizations and uses for SharePoint to bring value to the customer.

• Provides technical support for SharePoint users.

• Addresses questions or concerns from business owners or directors regarding the function of the software.

• Holds training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint.

• Consults with management to devise the most useful ways to apply SharePoint to meet client business goals.

• Develop paperless, automated solutions and alternatives to various older or manual processes currently in use by the clients’ user community.

• Creates forms and workflow and offers best practices to meet client requirements.

• Troubleshoot forms and workflow as needed.

• Use various scripting tools such as PowerShell to help with the overall management and governance of the agency’s SharePoint Online intranet.

• Perform all types of administrative and development support as applicable to the clients’ SharePoint hosted and Online based sites.

• Resolve problems related to SharePoint Online issues.

• Write and edit html codes for the customization of SharePoint Online solutions available to the agency-wide user community.

• Use various scripting tools such as PowerShell to help with the overall management and governance of the agency’s SharePoint Online intranet.

• Develop and troubleshoot forms and workflows using PowerApps & Flow and/or Info Path.

• Provide support for SharePoint Online integration of various applications into existing/new web page designs such as but not limited to Power Bi, PowerApps & Flow, Info Path, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SQL, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and Visio.

• Perform intranet portal administration, Teams application administration, and rights administration.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have:

• In-depth knowledge and demonstrated expertise with SharePoint hosted environments and SharePoint Online administration/governance, PowerShell scripting, form and workflow development, web design tools required to create and design organizational web-enabled sites, pages, web parts, and functions for the clients.

• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online.

• In-depth knowledge of PowerApps & Flow, Info Path & SharePoint workflow development.

• Experience supporting SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online a must.

• Demonstrates specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint.

• Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Servers.

• Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Possesses knowledge of best practices for maintaining SharePoint security.

• Is able to handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly.

• Exhibits knowledge of software development industry.

• Demonstrates ability to work and conduct research independently.

• Manages time efficiently and multi-tasks effectively.

• Is able to think and work quickly to remedy system shutdowns or serious software problems.

• Is familiar with website layouts and html.

• Demonstrates strong leadership skills.

• Communicates clearly and effectively.

• Works well with a team.

• Is able to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms for explanatory purposes.

• Demonstrates ability to work and conduct research independently.

• Manages time efficiently and multi-tasks effectively.
