Job Description
• Provide advanced systems support and troubleshooting on mission-critical Windows systems and services on a 24/7 basis

• Scripting, automation, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows 2008/2012/2016 servers and related SOE software packages

• Windows Core administration, command line remote administration, scripting critical for server deployments and consistent configuration

• ESXi, vSphere systems administration and support, including vMotion, high availability, DRS, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Service, and Site Recovery Manager.

• Administration of Microsoft System Center and act as the Configuration Manager (SCCM) for software updates & patches deployment

• Drive and maximize automation of daily and periodic tasks

• Ensure system security and protect systems against security risks, apply security fixes, and monitor system activity.

• Ensure system compliance with SYNLAB’s security and privacy policies and other regulations such as NIST 800-171, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.

• Solve complex systems and service problems by developing unique approaches to complex problems where diagnostic data is incomplete, absent, or contradictory, and where there may be no precedent or solution

• Communicate with delivery management, onshore teams, and application team work status, alerts, and service notifications tailored to the needs of specific audiences

• Manage technical projects and provide expert consulting on technical initiatives

• Proactively assist the Operations Delivery Manager in service planning

• Document work, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief team members and key user

• Continually improve personal knowledge and skills relevant to current duties, through on the job experience, self-directed research or formal training

• Influence work priorities, technical decisions, and operating procedures at the team or project level

• Work in shifts and takes part in the on-call duty
