Job Description
Responsibilities include

• Technical/Architectural Support:

o Active participation in architecture/design discussions and be able to make decisions and propose trade-offs keeping the long and short term in to the picture.

o Deliver on the integrated architecture and design for short and long term keeping in mind the multi-domain and multi-technology solutions.

o Hands-on coding, on a need basis, and code reviews for team members

o Ability to design systems that can be significantly customized and scaled up.

• Ensuring product development & engineering execution

o Ensuring delivery, timelines of deliverable, resource utilization, software quality, high level reviews of the deliverables, etc

o Ensure that Architectural guidelines are followed and implemented.

• Quality & Productivity

o Delivery quality products with the "do it right the first time" mindset leading to Quality first.

o Full ownership and accountability to deliver within budget, on schedule and meet or exceed defined quality standards.

o Constantly seek innovative ways to improve the overall productivity and quality of the global product development team.

• Agile development

o Using a high level of knowledge and experience with an agile development approach to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.

• Product Owner Support:

o Deliver innovative, high ROI products and modules by defining scope in Collaboration with product management

o Complete ownership of selected software engineering releases

• Team Building:

o Promote Team empowerment, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality deliveries

o Recruiting new talent and coaching team members to build a world class agile development teams.

o Enhance the technical competence and domain expertise within the engineering team

o Building & retaining world-class engineering teams, with emphasis on technical architecture and product management capabilities.

o Lead, mentor, motivate and develop the team members.

o Cultivate a productive, challenging, independent and fun working environment.

o Establish incentive and recognition programs and career path options to minimize attrition.

Required Domain Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in building innovative, scalable, high performance and secure enterprise-class products.

• 10+ years of experience in J2EE, SOA, Spring, Workflow and Web Services technologies.

• Experienced in Rest API’s, JSON, AZURE and Microservices.

• Knowledge of Software Development Kit and extension points is a must.

• Must be knowledgeable in databases (Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL)

Required Skills

• 15+ years of relevant experience in the IT industry, out of which 4-5 years are in a senior leadership positions managing product development teams is a must

• Excellent technical, problem solving, project planning and analytical skills

• Brilliant written and verbal communication skills and adept at communicating one’s thoughts.

• Ability to shape ideas and opinions through proper communications and networking with key stakeholders using one’s knowledge and experience.

• Ability to motivate and inspire confidence in others through goal-focused actions.

• Ability to listen and influence stakeholders, direct report’s and peers.

• Ability to make decisions and make recommendations.

Amenable to work in Makati City. Dayshift.
