Job Description
  • Ensure all Department Heads are committed to the daily operations 
  • Validate purchasing transactions in ERP system 
  • Discuss daily work with all shop floor employees (production, maintenance, quality and safety) 
  • Ensure that hazards and accidents are recorded through the System; validate incident analysis and ensure action plan is done 
  • Ensure compliance to Safety 
  • Ensures Preventive Maintenance program is implemented 
  • Challenge the plant management team and supply chain for a minimum inventory level (e.g.. raw materials, final products, spare parts...) according to production, sales and maintenance needs 
  • Analyses the monthly costs results (maintenance, production..), variations and decide actions to ensure the budget respect 
  • Reviews and validates the month end figures provided by the production manager; analyses the results and prepares the monthly performance meeting for decisions 
  • Ensures consolidation of all plant improvement actions are tracked and follows monthly in the CIT . 
  • Follow up on customer complaints, market survey (if any) and makes sure that actions are implemented by plant management team 
  • Organize review of the major capex projects with project team and decides, with the project manager, some corrective actions 
  • Collects information from plant management team and provides a weekly plant report to direct line manager - based on request. 
  • Has weekly conference call on plant report with the General Manager. 
  • Monitor Production, Maintenance, QSHE, Customer Feedback,  Improvement programs, Financial indicators, Mining Operations,  Quality, SCM costs, Sales, Corrective or improvement Plants 
  • Ensure policies are clear and communicated to all employees.

  • College graduate preferably BS Mechanical Engineering. 
  • With at least 5 years experience as manager in a manufacturing environment with exposure in automated technology. 
  • Should haveon Experience in at least 2 or more of these fields: Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Automation 
  • Knowlege in material handling (bulk, packaging) 
  • Knowlege in prevailing legal laws in plant management 
  • Preferably with experience as internal auditor of ISO 9001/14001/18001 system or a good understanding of these systems 
  • Analytical with working know how on SPC, 6 Sigma , FMEA and other quality tools and exhibits sound decision making 
  • Has proven leadership and people handling skills 
  • With good communication and project management skills 
  • Computer literate ; has knowhow in MS Project and SAP
