Network Security Administrator

Job Description:


•Use various tools (some listed below) to identify performance and security risks: for example:

◦Review Palo Alto IPS logs for vulnerabilities. Research, work with team to ensure remediation

◦Review LogRythm logs – determine trends and correlate events into actionable tasks and ensure remediation

◦Always look for new security vulnerabilities based on current research and ensure that our tools and rule sets are configured to identify any such vulnerability

◦Determine excess and inappropriate internet bandwidth usage and provide remediation escalation. This will require interaction with the end-user and you will be expected to be an effective communicator and help train the user on appropriate usage

◦Evaluate Nessus Scan reports to determine if a security exposure exists, devise a plan, open tickets and ensure that vulnerabilities are swiftly addressed

•Initiate & update service tickets as needed.

•Escalate problems to senior network engineers.

•Run ad/hoc as well as scheduled performance reports and interpret data.

•Detail oriented security report review

•Ability to work on and track multiple tasks at a time.

•Assist in troubleshooting network performance.

Required Qualifications: (candidate MUST be able to meet all of the following)

•Excellent interpersonal skills, including both verbal and written communication.

•Very Strong Fluency with English in order to support the US customers.

•Working knowledge of Windows, Office and network infrastructure

•Advanced knowledge of Network Security trends and best practices

•Ability to quickly assimilate new information and relate it to the Client's Infrastructure

•Must be a team player and works well with other.

•Strong individual contributor skills to work independently.

•A good understanding of incident and problem management processes.

•High attention to detail, ability to interpret technical data to resolve problems.

•Ability to think logically and work through a problem.

•Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting skills.

•Customer focused and responsive

•Drive and tenacity required to deliver quality results in a timely fashion and work effectively under pressure.

•Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology

Experience with the following Products & tools would be considered a bonus. (These tools will be used as part of daily duties)


•LogRhythm – SIEM tool

•ScanSafe – Web Proxy

•Palo Alto Firewall◦Monitoring



•Cisco – Configuration Routers / Switches / Wireless

•Citrix - NetScaler

Huge plus for any of the following qualifications: MCSA, MCSE, CISA, CISSP
