Job Description
You Will
  • Apply legal knowledge to support the business - which includes 3 different entities and likely to grow
  • Have the majority of your work in the application of the law for the sale of IT goods and services
  • Undertake end to end contracts management, including preparation, review and negotiation to completion and signing.
  • Communicate with the business’ clients, staff, suppliers and partners and deliver the appropriate legal outcomes for the businesses
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses
  • Present facts in writing and verbally to the business’ and or their clients or others and negotiate on their behalf
  • Work in a face paced environment with conflicting priorities
  • Build policies, process and procedures to ensure compliance with law and consistency with existing policies.
  • Study and provide recommendations on legal issues involving the businesses, including undertaking research as required to solve legal problems
You Should Have
  • Minimum of 3 years post admission experience, preferably in an In House role'
  • Commercial law experience particularly in the IT industry
  • Experience in the area of software sales, SAAS/PAAS, Managed Services, professional services, Reseller and OEM arrangements, employment, and contracting arrangements
  • Knowledgeable in International/Australian Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
  • Next level time management and prioritization skills
  • A self-starter attitude, be results-oriented, committed to quality work outcomes and highly motivated
