Java Developer
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements, write designs and provide solutions that meet business objectives
  • Write quality code and thoroughly unit test all changes to the system
  • Evaluate existing complex systems and identify areas of improvement; this includes improved code re-use, efficiency and SQL tuning.
  • Follow a structured SDLC method ology, including effective communication with remote team members, BAs, PMs and QA staff
  • Follow coding standards
  • Conduct/participate in code review sessions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in a computer science related discipline or an equivalent combination on education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical development role involving the delivery of software and experience in IT/EC
  • Background in Health Care or Health Insurance industries is an asset
Technical Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of Java EE, Struts, JDBC, Javascript, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, Junit, XML, XSLT, HTML, Spring, Spring Boot, Soap based webservice, Restful webservice, JPA
  • Proficient in RDBMS concepts, Database Design, writing PL/SQL, Stored Procedure, DDL, DML queries on Oracle 12C.
  • Strong programmer; primary language is Java Struts but applicant should be able to pick up and write code in any environment including shell scripting or Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Server: WebLogic version 12
  • IDE/Tools: Eclipse, Maven, GIT
Nice to have:
  • webMethods 9.5 or higher, Developer/Designer, MyWM server
  • Proficient in webMethods integration components including Java Services, Flow Services, Web Service Adapters, WSDLs, Broker, BPM, and Flat Files.
