Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you demonstrate positive customer service orientation resulting in high customer satisfaction ratings. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it comes down to one thing: that you will provide first level technical support to internal customers and ensures quality services to gain high customer satisfaction ratings.

As an IT Support Specialist Linux Expert, you will manage applications to monitor service uptime and performance. You will diagnose and troubleshoot incidents while attempting to resolve the majority on your own. You will test, configure, install, modify, maintain, and repair computer hardware, operating systems, applications, software patches and updates. You will escalate issues to the appropriate business and technical experts and coordinate the efforts of all involved. You will perform desktop system maintenance/upgrades including all desktop OS patches. You will communicate the status of incidents and progress made in terms that business stakeholders will be able to understand. You will maintain system documentation and troubleshooting procedures. You will have an extensive familiarity with Linux systems and servers and may involve a high level of risk assessment and user support. You will demonstrate positive customer service orientation resulting in high customer satisfaction ratings.

So, what is it we’re looking for? Well since this is an IT Support Specialist Linux Expert post, we need someone with a Bachelor’s Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT / Computer-related course. We also need someone with a minimum of 1 year IT support specialist experience.

Now let’s get technical. We need someone with an in depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Windows and MAC OS. Someone with a working knowledge of I.T. systems and equipment as well as their installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair. Someone with a solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP. Someone who’s a skilled technical writer able to document problems and solutions for customers and other technical support personnel.

Lastly, we need someone with excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in the English language is a must. We need someone who’s self motivated, driven, adaptive to changing work schedules and working hours. Someone with good customer orientation, good interpersonal and customer care skills. Someone with above average problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. We need someone who has an extensive familiarity with Linux systems and servers and may involve a high level of risk assessment and user support. This role will be based in TaskUs Batangas Site and should be flexible supporting Linux & Windows Operating Systems.
