Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans network installations by studying technical specifications; preparing an installation schematic

• Establishes voice and data networks by programming features; establishing interfaces and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools

• Verifies service by testing and re-programming circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying and correcting problems; conferring with engineers

• Documents network by recording configuration diagrams and programming

• Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation

• Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions

• Maintains safe work environment by following standards and policies

• Perform MACD and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of VOIP engineering or Voice engineering experience

• At least 3 years of Network experience

• Must be proficient with CISCO telephony

• Experienced in reading voice and data captures using wireshark

• Experienced with T1, DS3 install and test

• Experienced with Telecommunications wiring and Telecommunication switch/PBX programming

• Experienced with VOIP/SIP/Unity/UCCE/Conferencing apps

• Knowledge of Windows OS and computer architecture

• Command level knowledge of UNIX & Linux OS and architecture

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, Hubs, Firewalls, Domains, DNS, DHCP, and Subnetting

• Experienced with a structured Trouble Ticketing System

• Experienced in least cost routing network architecture

• Production experience managing Cisco IP telephony (CUCM v10), Cisco Contact Center (UCCE v10) and Call Recording

• Configure base CUCM components, such as device pools, Call Manager groups, media sources, and other common elements; Build dial plans including route patterns, route lists, etc

• Good understanding of Toll Free Routing features and communications protocols such as H323 / SIP / QoS / QSIG / T1 CAS / AMIS / G.711 / G.729, SRST, private line services from T1 to DS3 is required

• Experience configuration and managing Cisco telepresence infrastructure.

• Must have experience in an enterprise environment.
