The DFSC Functional - Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering client requirements, design, implementation, and maintenance services in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle standard. The role performs high complexity software business analysis and works closely with the clients and stakeholders in relation to major enhancements to a specific module of a core system, or the development of a new system.
Responsible for ‘Requirements Gathering, Design, Implementation, Execution, and Maintenance’ of applications with minimum supervision.
a. Ensures that programs delivered operate according to functional and non-technical specifications. b. Critically reviews programs prior SIT or UAT, to verify consistency and conformance with established coding standards. c. Ensures that programs have minimal defects and have gone through agreed Quality Assurance checks. d. Liaise and coordinate with Business Systems Analysts / Business Process Designers /Project Managers for software change requests, issues or problems.
Discuss and communicates with the internal group the Change Requests submitted by clients and to provide recommended best design and solutions.
Direct the application users to understand the process and system executions
Perform gap analysis check and report to group and management level.
Coordinate amongst Group members and another dependent system administrator/s for functionality and integration testing.
Perform end to end testing of the business scenario and functional requirements.
Prepare presentations or documentation required for functional and procedural needs.
Provide assistance with Go-Live and On-Site Support.
Familiar with Design Pattern to apply solutions to industrial practices
Independently drive and manage complex development projects using formal methodologies
Conducts regular functional and performance review and recommendations
Recommends technological updates, industry trends, and best practices.
Closely works and coordinates with our onshore and offshore SMEs as needed.
Effectively communicates, both verbally and written, with offshore SMEs and bring business values to them
Participate in regular and ad-hoc client management meetings. Keeps his/her supervisor and management apprised of the progress of assigned projects and status of any problems on a regular basis.
A graduate of any IT/Computer related course or equivalent work experience
With solid 7 years of hands-on experience in web-based application and enterprise solutions management
Knowledgeable with MySQL and UNIX/LINUX.
Good understanding of web application concepts and functionalities.
Knowledgeable in Systems Analysis and Design
Good understanding of Merchandising application or other related retail applications.
Skills in JAVA/J2EE and Microservices
Knowledgeable in Shell Scripting.
Intermediate understanding of Client-Server Architecture.
Knowledge in the following Technologies: Hibernate, JPA, JBoss, Spring Batch Framework, Jenkins.
Proven experience working in an environment that practices ITIL methodologies.
With actual experience in Automated builds, Collaborative development, and Continuous integration.
With actual experience in Oracle PL/SQL development for Packages, Procedures, and Functions.
With solid experience in Oracle Forms/Reports Development.
Knowledgeable and understands advanced computer concepts in Windows.
Knowledgeable and understands advanced computer concepts in UNIX/LINUX.
Advance understanding of Client-Server Architecture.
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
