Job Description

The Finance Controller will plan, organize and implement procedures to effectively assist with all accounting functions in relation to accounts payable, the general ledger, payroll, general journals, cash and cash management, in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports for Management Team
  • Support Account Receivable; generating invoices, engaging customers, and ensuring timely payments
  • Process Account Payable; generate payroll, track vendor invoices, develop and manage against financial forecasts
  • Work closely with Management to understand key business issues and translate them into financial models and metrics
  • Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records to mitigate risk and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Conduct internal audits as necessary; including an evaluation of proper accounting system controls.
  • Understand and maintain cost accounting systems relative to new projects including interaction with project managers and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years experience managing Finance responsibilities, experience with BPO is desirable
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Team player with a sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of debits and credits a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks to completion with minimum supervision
  • Excellent computer skills with competence in using Microsoft Office software, Xero accounting software, and cloud based collaboration tools
  • Ability to develop processes, and use a systematic approach to complete a work plan
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or related field required
