Business Intelligence Analyst
Key skills/attributes

• Lead data oriented projects by partnering with stakeholders from across the business to understand their data needs and business objectives and providing proposed end solutions

• Capture this vision by working with stakeholders to define user stories that capture the business problems and outcomes to be solved

• Drive the adoption and evolution of RP&O reporting

• Design, build, document and implement web-based applications, reports and scorecards

• Maintain, upgrade and improve on existing applications and tools

• Analysis, transformation, extraction and presentation of data

• Data and database management and data interpretation

• Database server and system server administration and monitoring, as required

• Process monitoring and performance improvement, as required

• Investigate escalations from front-line support and provide after-hours development support as required

Skills required

• Analysis of systems requirements, identifying data sources and designing, developing and supporting ETL

• Microsoft Business Intelligence stack: SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server

• Automation using scripting

• Data analysis and modeling techniques

• Database Design and SQL Programming

• Complex data manipulation and providing ad-hoc data analysis

• Ability to analyze complex problems and conceptualize solutions

• Oracle PL/SQL and Tableau & Domo experience

• Confident with web technologies such as HTML and JavaScript

• Experience with Adobe

• Ability to address business and technical issues dynamically

• Strong collaboration skills and an exceptional team player who is committed to the success of every member of the team

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset

• Exceptional data extraction skills inclusive of SQL, Python, SAS

• Expert level data visualization expertise

• Data and data base architecture
