Job Description

• Perform changes to Logical Disk, LUN Configuration Responding, resolving and troubleshooting 2nd level support issues

• Perform ALLOCATION / DEALLOCATION with Zoning/ Copy Services

• Configure NAS Storage

• Manage and support of SAN Switch

• Plan changes / install to Storage, Logical Disk, Raid, LUN Configuration

• Maintain storage management tools, maintain microcode/firmware, monitor Storage devices

• Perform Storage Daily Health Check

• Perform General SAN/NAS Disk administration activity and NAS Restore

• Provide Configuration info for Basic DISK, RAID, Logical LUN Copy

• Perform maintenance on disk environment

• Perform problem analysis and recovery in the storage hardware and software environment

• Provide support to data storage on all MVS system images

• Manage DASD/TAPE replication , set up SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software

• Support SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software

• Perform reliable, secure backup and recovery across MD in accordance with MD company policy and procedure

• Perform proactive measures to ensure adequate storage capacity is available, else initiate for enhancement

• Willingness and flexibility to travel as per business needs.

• May be required to support different shifts to enable 24x7 support. Also must be available on call as and when required

• Prepare relevant documentation to support, give input to the problem and knowledge processes based on daily work experience

• SLA adherence and attainment


• 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar position

• Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently and with high personal integrity

• Very strong customer service mindset

• Excellent English skills – both oral and written

• ITIL foundation certification preferred

• Able to maintain our SolarWinds platform and installed modules

• Mindset for monitoring, automation and self-service

• Experienced with root cause analysis in own area

• Has experience designing and troubleshooting storage system (NAS/SAN) for virtualized environment (Hyper-V and VMware)

• Has in depth know-how for Ethernet-based storage networking

• Capable of creating scripts to automate backup jobs

• Willing to be on 24x7 and on-call support on a rotating basis

• Good knowledge of Office Suite (Outlook, Lync, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Good knowledge of Windows 10 OS and Windows server OS (Windows 2012 and up)

• Knowledge of Service Now

• Understanding of system administration, trouble-shooting Windows Servers

• EMC, HP and Storage Array installation, configuration and administration
