Associate Specialist

The RMS Client Solutions team from FactSet Research Management Solutions (RMS) is specialized in deploying and supporting research management solutions provided by FactSet, whilst maintaining FactSet’s reputation for industry-leading client services. We are looking for experienced self-motivated individuals specialized in the technical deployment of RMS solutions at our clients. It is a client-facing position to deploy and support our solutions installed on premises at our clients, as well as in our private cloud environment. As you acquire more experience on our solutions, you will be tasked with running the full technical deployment of RMS for our clients from project start to finish. The team is composed of energetic individuals who thrive in a highly collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of independence and responsibility.

As an Associate Specialist, you will:
  • Carry out the technical deployment of RMS at clients and in the FactSet private cloud 
  • Receive, investigate and provide appropriate course of actions to address client requests 
  • Provide resolution steps through expert telephone, email and proprietary communication channels 
Requirements for the position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related field
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English 
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Hardworking and proactive 
  • Ability to work independently using creative thinking without extensive direction 
  • Strong work ethic and highly self-motivated 
  • Positive team player attitude and superior client service attitude and skills 
  • Versatile in technologies and willing to learn and expand knowledge 
  • Proficiency in handling Microsoft tools (Windows servers, IIS, network, MS SQL, MS Office...) 
  • Knowledge of or interest in working with SQL requests and Linux OS 
  • Ability to work AM or PM shifts
  • Previous client facing or customer support experience
  • Ability to travel domestically and abroad 
  • Proficiency in Chinese/Mandarin in a plus 
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Manage multiple installations of RMS at clients 
  • Work with senior business and IT client contacts to specify technical requirements of the solution 
  • Report on project progress and ensure technical tasks are delivered according to scope and plan 
  • Second line of support for existing clients 
  • Work with clients to find creative solutions in order to resolve deployment and technical challenges 
  • Understand our client workflows and solutions 
  • Use internal systems and follow procedures for maintaining the highest level of quality support for all RMS clients 
  • Cooperate and liaise with other RMS Client Solutions, Product teams 
  • Meet targets and goals set by exhibiting motivation and high performance 
  • Attend internal meetings and training sessions as requested 
  • Provide end-user training and manage change
