Job Description
Job Role:
As the Art director, you are responsible for developing eye-catching visuals that will encourage our target audience to engage GroWorx and its clients. These include but are not limited to visuals website content and blog articles, social content, display ads, infographics, GIFs and other visual formats.

The role will meet with clients and internal departments to discuss and establish project objectives, research current trends and the target demographic, and design and troubleshoot the visual aspects of an ad campaign, from the initial planning stages until the finished campaign. You should possess an understanding of graphic design concepts and software and excellent interpersonal skills.

To succeed, you should be a creative and communicative multitasker with exceptional project and time management skills. You should be punctual, perceptive, and detail-oriented with a great mind for developing and realizing the vision of campaigns.

Responsibilities:
  • Introducing and applying expert art direction to the visual elements of creative projects
  • Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns
  • Inspiring and motivating the agency’s clients to be creatively progressive, through the application of fresh and inventive visual work
  • Reviewing the work of designers and providing direction and feedback
  • Taking ownership of the visual elements of creative work for new business pitches
  • Uncovering new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns
  • Designing layouts for website, landing page, newsletter, and other digital ad formats
  • Plan, develop and execute editorial calendars with the team
  • Minor edit of videos for ads
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation
  • A broad understanding of marketing design and layout will also be expected
  • The ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts
  • The ability to explain and support your thinking, both internally and externally
  • A flexible approach and willingness to adapt your ideas to the needs of clients
  • A passion for advertising and commercial art
  • A keen eye for visual details and accuracy
  • The resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • High level IT skills in the latest art and design packages, and tools
  • A good awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
  • An innovative approach to the media and the ways in which advertising is carried
  • Video editing skills
