Job Description

As a Technology Analyst, you will be monitoring the health of servers and network devices across our TELUS data centres as well performing advanced triaging of trouble tickets. You will also perform routine maintenance activities as well as assisting customers with their service requests,Responsibilities:,

Roles & Responsibilities:

Technologies you will be working with include:
  • Windows Server Operating Systems
  • UNIX/Linux Server Operating Systems

Basic Skills on:
  • Virtual Server Systems
  • HTTP/DNS/SMTP/Networks
  • Work is received through Remedy and Siebel ticket queues and via internal request systems. These work items are generated by automatic monitoring systems, TELUS internal groups, and external customers.
  • We are looking for bright and driven individuals that are passionate about technology and want to broaden their IT experience in a dynamic, customer-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • The team has a 7x24x365 physical presence at our data centre located at 73 Laird Dr in Toronto. All team members are required to participate in a scheduled rotation which includes night shifts.


Required Experience & Certifications:
  • Successful candidates must be proficient in most of the following technical areas and demonstrate a keen interest in learning the other areas:
    • UNIX OS
    • Windows OS
    • Virtualization
    • Network device administration
    • HTTP services
    • DNS theory
    • SMTP services
  • Relevant Certifications (One or more of the following is beneficial)
    • Cisco CCENT / CCNA
    • Microsoft MCSA / MCSE
    • Red Hat RHCT / RHCSA / RHCE
    • Sun SCSA / SCNA
