Frontier Markets is looking for an experienced Logistics head based in Jaipur. Frontier Markets is social enterprise that equips, trains and supports people in villages to become entrepreneurs and sell a range of clean-energy products that benefit the wider community.
 
Reporting to the Head of operations, in this role you will be responsible to define, structure, execute, constantly evaluate & amend logistics service levels to exceed consumer/channel expectations. The incumbent shall be responsible for building robust ecosystem of first leg (sourcing) and second leg (redistribution) logistics; including reverse logistics of defective products. 

Target salary: Up to 4.5L CTC
- based on previous experience and subject to customary increases on joining

Detailed Responsibilities: 

Supply chain management
  • Plan and maintain supply chain operations for distributors, including materials, production, inventory, logistics, documentation, customer service, demand management, and order fulfilment 
  • Develop supply chain distribution budgets in alignment with corporate and departmental objectives
  • Develop and continuously improve supply chain business processes
  • Monitor total supply chain costs and identify opportunities to reduce costs or increase profit

Logistics management
  • Plan, manage and evaluate inventory activities and budgets, including developing new systems and process and key performance indicators to deliver effective inventory operations
  • Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and maintaining stock levels
  • Generate reports, MIS, and analysis to optimize overall inventory systems

Communication and co-ordination
  • Oversee branch logistics, systems and budgets, working with a distributed team
  • Document and build systems/tools to ensure all product and inventory information is captured and reported to management
  • Build, maintain and grow long term relationships with vendors and stakeholders to increase branch growth
  • Maintain an environment with an open communication culture

Team Management
  • Manage a team at branch level
  • Team training on stocking & logistics aspects and soft skills to manage customer/consumer/internal team expectations. 

Does this sounds like you?
Required:
  • Graduate with 4+ years of experience in managing supply chain and logistics
  • Experience (2+ years) managing supply chains and distribution
  • Experience (2+ years) managing logistics and warehouses
  • Experience (2+ years) in local Rajasthan markets
Preferred:
  • Experience across FMCG and Consumer Electronics, handling goods with <6month expiry dates (FIFO and FMFO)
  • Experience across small to mid-d companies, developing new systems and processes
  • Experience in technology systems related to control of inventory, supply chain and materials (e.g. ERP, SAP, MIS, SCM)
  • Experience managing distributed teams
  • Experience across MP, UP, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Bihar
