Job Description
Position Summary: 

The Solutions Architect for Cyber Security solutions is a senior role in NCSIs Partner facing unit reporting to the Sales Director. The purpose of this role is to identify, design, architect, and provide appropriate technical solutions for customers in support of the Sales team. The Solutions Architect develops solutions composed of multiple technologies to address customers and prospects business needs in a converged ICT services environment and market.

This position applies to and requires specialization in the following technology categories:
  • Network and Infrastructure Security 
  • Content (Application / Data) Security 
  • Mobility Security 
  • Endpoint Security 
  • Cloud Security 
The position plays a key role in the sales engagement process, driving both customer experience and financial outcomes through providing specialist technical and pre-sales designed solutions. The position requires awareness to work in line with the agreed sales business drivers through:
  • Demonstration of market / industry experience and knowledge, assistance in sales (measurable by participation in successful sales). 
  • Progression and maintenance of vendor relationships (measurable by technology designs, sales leads and vendor participation/cooperation in sales activities). 
  • Provide technical leadership in the team as appropriate. 
  • The role also requires to evangelize security and be an advocate for customer trust. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Introduce SingTel's/ NCS portfolio of Managed Security Services solutions to achieve a high share-of-wallet in the account. 
  • Deliver customer workshops and presentations as required. 
  • Cost and business case modelling, including development of Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) modelling for customers and risk assessment as required. 
  • Seek out, engage in and/or support consultancy opportunities with the objective of influencing the customer's strategy favouring a SingTel solution. 
  • Work with internal groups and third party vendors from pre-sales and implementation through to production. 
  • Analyze and qualify prospective and current customer requirements and develop profitable and suitable solutions to meet customer needs, often including complex solution architectures; 
  • Develop support models for solutions and ensure support costs and all internal or partner supply agreements are defined via project documentation. 
  • Develop the capability to transition customers from traditional legacy technologies to next generation on-premise and cloud solutions; 
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of present technological trends, processes and methodologies in the ICT marketplace so as to have a strong understanding and knowledge of competitor products and services. 
  • Work closely with key vendors and customers and Sales teams to design and package solution offerings to take to market 
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge Required:

Essentials for the role:
  • University Degree holder 
  • Graduate of IT or any business management related course 
  • 7-10 years pre-sales technical experience in Managed Services which include Managed Network, Unified Communications, Wan Acceleration and Security (productised or bespoke). 
  • Preferably at least 3 years implementation experience in an MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) or security on-premise solutions 
  • Experience in any of the following strategic and emerging technologies: technology solutions (e.g. Cisco; Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto, McAfee, Websense, F5 Networks, RSA, Symantec, Trend Micro, HP, FireEye, Imperva and Managed Security Services (e.g. FireEye, Trustwave, Palo Alto Networks). 
  • Good articulation skills in proposing the alternatives in terms of cost, benefit and risk where multiple solutions exist. 
  • Sound knowledge of current technologies, tools and industry trends 
  • Ability to propose technical and security solution and oversee the selection of technologies and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution to meet customers requirements. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Security architectural design, proposal and implementation of complex solutions in enterprise customer environment. 
  • Significant experience in consultative and creative solution selling; experience in architecting complex solutions that meet a customers requirements 
  • Understanding of the Security industry and evolution of technologies, threats causing vulnerabilities 
  • Cyber Security Solution (Productised or bespoke) 
  • Experience in and knowledge of Security technologies, architectural design principles and methodologies, industry standards and guidelines; best modern practices. 
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and credibility with a customers senior management and maintain those relationships for the duration of an opportunity / projects lifecycle. 
  • Strong and effective team membership skills; including the ability to work effectively within a matrix organisation and within a multi-disciplined team environment. 
  • Good working knowledge of security risk management, security governance framework, and compliance, technical vulnerability management, application security, security technologies (system hardening, IDS/IPS, firewall), security incident response and security assessment. 
  • Good working knowledge of systems, networks and information communication technology is required 
  • Able to demonstrate good working understanding of ISO27001 and PCI security standards 
  • Participate and lead in industry bodies on security standards 
  • Well-presented and energetic self-starter, willing to hit the ground running in the competitive space of specialist solution architecture and design. 
  • Ability to perform under pressure 
  • Flexibility in approach to problems 
  • Work autonomously; self-disciplined 
  • Positive can-do attitude 
  • Well organized and methodical 
  • Ability to quickly develop strong peer, customer and vendor relationships

Good To Have:
  • Vendor Certifications/Accreditations in specialist Solution area. E.g.) CCSA, CCSE, JNCIS 
  • Sound and demonstrable working knowledge of industry standards e.g.) ISO27000 series, specifically ISO27001/2, PCI-DSS, ISO31000
